Custom fields in Harmonic allow you to track and manage company and people information that matters specifically to your organization. Whether you're tracking deal stages, monitoring prospect engagement, or managing internal ownership, custom fields help you organize data beyond our comprehensive datasets.

NEW: Custom fields everywhere

Harmonic supports:

  • Global fields

  • Local fields (list-specific)

With global fields, you can access your custom data across all product surfaces: Searches, Lists, Chrome Extension!

Custom field setup

Each custom field represents a piece of information you want to track. To add a new custom field to your list:

  1. Open your list (to create a list, follow these steps)

  2. Click "Add” then “Custom Field"

  3. Choose your field type

    1. Select from Text, Number, Person, Date, Status, Single select, Multi select, URL, and Checkbox

  4. Configure field settings

    1. Name your field

    2. Set default values (if applicable)

    3. Configure field-specific options

From a Search

  1. Open a new or existing search

  2. Click only any column header and select "Insert left" or "Insert right"

  3. Select "Create custom field"

  4. Choose your field type

    1. Select from Text, Number, Person, Date, Single select, Multi select, URL, and Checkbox

  5. Configure field settings

    3. Configure field-specific options

Filter on custom fields

From a search, select the Advanced filters tab. Here you can filter on any global custom field you've added to Harmonic.

From a list, select "Filter" in the top right corner of the grid. Here, you can apply both global and local (list-specific) filters to your list view.

Description

Text

Text fields store written information. Use single-line text for brief entries like titles or references, and multi-line text for detailed notes or descriptions.

Number

Track numbers with formatting options for:
• Plain numbers (e.g., lead score)
• Percentages (e.g., probability)
• Currency (e.g., deal size)

Person

Assign team members to entries. Useful for tracking account owners, project leads, or other responsibilities. Choose between single assignee or multiple team members.

Note: Person field is auto-populated with user names in Harmonic.

Date

Date fields help track timelines and deadlines. They include a calendar picker and support different date formats. Default to current date supported.

Status (Local only)

Similar to select fields but designed specifically for workflow stages. They include visual indicators and are perfect for pipeline management.

Select

Select fields provide predetermined options. You can add, remove, or reorder options anytime, and color-code them for visual organization.
• Single-select: One choice from options (e.g., Deal Stage)
• Multi-select: Multiple choices (e.g., Products of Interest)

URL

Store and validate URLs. These fields automatically format and verify web addresses.

Checkbox

Simple true/false fields for tracking binary states like "Contacted" or "Contract Signed".
