Overview

Search by Deal Data enables granular filtering of companies based on detailed investor and funding information within a company search. Find companies by who invested, what role they played, and specific deal characteristics—all within a company search workflow.

Automate your deal reviews

Replace manual weekly/quarterly deal reviews with automated saved searches:

  • "Series A/B companies that raised last week where my tracked investors led the latest round"

  • "Seed companies in my sectors where co-investors participated in the last 30 days"

  • "Follow-on rounds led by firms in my network this quarter"

Set up these searches once, then get fresh results automatically as new deals happen—no more manual deal list reviews.

How to use

1. Access Deal Data Filters

Navigate to Companies in your main search and select the Funding tab to access deal data filters.

2. Filter by Investors

  • Include Investors

    • Add specific investors (e.g., Y Combinator) to find companies they've backed

    • Use the dropdown to select from your tracked investors

  • Exclude Investors

    • Filter out companies backed by specific investors you want to avoid

3. Set Investor Role

Once you've selected an investor, choose their role:

  • Any: Shows all investments regardless of role

  • Lead: Shows only companies where the investor led the round

Note: The "Lead" option only appears after selecting a specific investor.

4. Configure Round Details

  • Any: All time periods

  • Latest round: Most recent funding only

  • Custom range: Set specific date parameters

5. Advanced Filtering

Match Logic

When multiple funding types are selected, choose how to combine them:

  • OR: Companies that raised ANY of the selected round types

  • AND: Companies that raised ALL of the selected round types (use this option to search for follow-ons).
